Adventures in Ethics & Digital Citizenship with Minecraft Education
Project Description:
This project is a comprehensive educational initiative designed to enhance digital literacy and responsible online behavior among educators and students through Minecraft Education's engaging and interactive platform. The project is structured as a playful and immersive training series for educators to integrate essential ethics and digital citizenship principles into their teaching practices.
Key Components:
Quest for Online Etiquette: This module promotes respectful and responsible online interactions. Educators learn to cultivate a positive digital culture within their classrooms, empowering students to become conscientious digital citizens.
Social Media & Sharing Safari: This segment explores the social media landscape and online sharing. It provides educators with strategies to guide students in navigating social networks safely while emphasizing the importance of maintaining confidentiality and responsible sharing.
Intellectual Rights Expedition: This module delves into understanding copyright, fair use, and intellectual property rights. Educators gain insights into respecting creative works and applying these principles in Minecraft Education.
Assessment:
After the training, participants must complete a 15-question multiple-choice assessment, achieving a minimum score of 80% to demonstrate mastery of the content.
This project equips educators with the tools to foster a responsible digital culture and transform learning into an adventurous and engaging experience. It is a testament to the innovative integration of technology and education in promoting digital citizenship.
