Epic Edu Day 1.MP4

Day 1-Intro to Twinmotion

On the first day of the Epic Educator Accelerate program, I delved into the dynamic world of Twinmotion 2024.1. The focus was mastering this powerful tool, which is essential for creating immersive visualizations and is a crucial stepping stone to navigating Unreal Engine. Through hands-on learning and creative projects, I gained valuable skills in utilizing Twinmotion's cutting-edge features, setting a solid foundation for my journey into more advanced game development and simulation techniques.

Day 2 - Rube Goldberg Challenge

Day 2 of the Epic Edu Accelerate program has been exceptionally stimulating and thought-provoking! Today, we delved into the Rube Goldberg lesson offered by @cleverlike.studios, which evoked a sense of excitement and curiosity reminiscent of my school days. While I encountered some challenges navigating the back-end blueprint programming, I successfully managed to import and manipulate objects within the game environment. Although mentally taxing, this experience has been incredibly rewarding, and I am eagerly anticipating the activities of Day 3.

Day 4 - Hour of Code

Unfortunately, I was unable to document my experiences on Day 3 of the Epic Edu Accelerator. However, I am pleased to provide a more comprehensive overview of Day 4.

It has been fascinating to observe how each day’s activities are coherently integrating to form a comprehensive learning experience in Unreal Engine 5. The instructors at @cleverlike.studios demonstrate exceptional pedagogical skills, making the learning process both enjoyable and enriching. As a result of their effective teaching methods, I feel confident in my ability to introduce these concepts to my students in the upcoming school year.

Day 5 - Hour of Code (Robotics)

It is a bittersweet moment realizing that I no longer need to rise at dawn, yet I will miss the engaging and intellectually stimulating learning sessions. Today, being the final day, was dedicated to experimenting with robot design in the Unreal Engine environment, including the opportunity to customize and decorate them. Although I did not progress significantly with the robot design, I acquired substantial knowledge that I am eager to share with my students.

This has unequivocally been one of the most outstanding professional development sessions I have attended. The team at @cleverlike.studios and Epic are doing remarkable work in equipping educators to incorporate game development and interactive learning into the classroom. Their efforts are truly commendable.

I am enthusiastic about creating and sharing Unreal Engine content with my students!
